In the summer of 2020, the world seemed to have come to a standstill, but for me, a new chapter was just beginning. I was living with my sister and a close-knit group of friends from high school, near the college they attended. Life was a mix of cozy hangouts with my makeshift family, but there was a certain excitement in the air—one that came from the unexpected realm of online dating.That’s where Alex came into the picture. Our paths crossed in the vast expanse of the internet, and from our very first conversation, there was an undeniable spark. We shared stories, dreams, and laughter, creating a connection that felt both thrilling and comforting. Alex’s warmth and genuine nature helped me come out of my shell and become more open to love than I had ever been before.Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Alex was determined to turn our digital chemistry into something tangible. Every weekend, he would make the hour-long drive to see me, no matter the weather or the obstacles. Those drives became more than just a commute; they were a testament to his commitment and affection.Our early dates were filled with joy as we explored parks and hiking trails together. We bonded over our shared love of nature, enjoying simple walks and the beauty of the outdoors. It was in one of these favorite state parks that Alex proposed, creating a beautiful memory in a place that holds a special place in our hearts.As time went on, the weekend drives transformed into something even more special. They became symbols of our dedication and the beginning of a beautiful journey together. From those early days of meeting online to now, Alex and I have built a love that’s as enduring as those long drives that started it all.One of the most unexpected joys of our relationship has been discovering the world of sports—something I never really cared about before. Alex, a die-hard Ohio State football fan, introduced me to the thrill of college football. His passion was infectious, and before I knew it, I found myself proudly wearing my own Ohio State sportswear and calling out to fellow fans when we saw them out and about.Fast forward to today, and our lives have grown even more wonderful. We are now blessed with a beautiful baby boy, who brings joy and laughter to our days. We’ve made our home in Alex’s grandmother's house, a place rich with family history and warmth. It’s a home we cherish deeply and dream of making our own someday.Every corner of the house feels like a piece of our story, and as we watch our little one grow, we’re filled with gratitude for the journey that brought us here. The love that began with those weekend visits has blossomed into a life full of love, hope, and a future we look forward to sharing together.
