How did it all begin? Picture this: a sunny afternoon, a quirky mini-golf course, and two people who spent more time laughing than actually sinking putts. That’s where we first met—and somewhere between the missed shots and shared jokes, we realized something kind of wild: we were living in the same apartment.

At the time, Penny had just moved back to the Bay Area after three months of nomadic living, bouncing between cities and soaking in life. Hao had just moved from Austin to start his first full-time job—and was rocking some seriously long, curly hair. (Spoiler alert: Penny was not a fan.) But hair aside, the connection was real.

We started dating soon after, and as our relationship grew, so did our adventures. From walking among the giant trees of Sequoia to hiking the Colorado Rockies, sipping wine in Napa, jamming to live music in Austin, and falling in love with the charm of Italy, each trip brought us closer together. And yes—Hao’s hair gradually got shorter along the way.

Eventually, one beautiful day, with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, Hao asked Penny to marry him. And Penny gave the easiest “yes” she’s ever said.

Since mini-golf is where it all began, it only feels right to celebrate our wedding on the course, surrounded by our favorite people. We can’t wait to start this next chapter together—and share all the love and laughter with you on our big day!
