9.30 AM to 12.00 PM— Innai Seer— A traditional ceremony where the groom’s family brings gifts like coconut oil, turmeric, betel leaves, sarees, bangles, sweets, and other items to the bride before the wedding. These symbolize blessings, prosperity, and the family's affection. 🍃🥥
12.00 to 2.00 PM — Naal Virundhu aka Pattini Saadha Virundhu — a traditional feast hosted by the family before the wedding to welcome all our loved ones and begin the celebrations together. It’s a way to show our gratitude and share a joyful meal with family and friends ahead of the big day. 🍛
2.00 - 3.00 PM - Urumaal Kattu Seer - it’s the heartwarming moment when the groom’s maternal uncle carefully ties a new, vibrant turban (urumal) on the groom’s head. This is not just a fashion upgrade! The turban-tying is a proud tradition, watched by the whole family and friends. By the end, the groom stands taller, looking a little royal and probably feeling a bit itchy, but with a giant smile, thanks to his uncle’s handiwork and all the family’s applause.
6.00 PM to 10.00 PM — Reception — Come for the lights, stay for the bites!
