we both went to Harmony Grove High School. we met when I was in 7th grade and Franklin was in 9th grade. I had no interest in him at all, but we would often talk on the phone, snapchat each other, and talk at school. he was always looking for some type of work, and my grandmother just happened to be looking for someone to come and work for her loading up storage units.

Franklin then started coming to my house since he worked for my grandmother! I would never even give him the time of day. when I was in about 8th grade, he started bribing me for a hug. he'd text me the night before and say "I'll bring you a bottle Dr. Pepper if you give me a hug." silly me didn't think anything of it, so I'd just give him a side hug, get my Dr. Pepper, and go on about my day.

a couple of years later, Franklin got a different job, so he didn't work for my grandmother anymore. we kind of distanced ourselves from each other, but we still communicated every once in a while. then one day, after he had graduated, he started texting me again. he asked me to go out to dinner for our birthdays (his is April 25 and mine is April 26). we went to dinner and then a few weeks later, we fell off again.

my senior year Christmas break rolls around, and I'm in Fulton for my family Christmas. I posted a selfie on snapchat, and after months of not texting at all, Franklin texted me telling me how beautiful I looked. from that day forward, we talked every single day, and that's when I thought we were becoming serious. however, Franklin remembered our high school days when I always played "hard to get" and started trying to act that way as well, but as you can see, that didn't last long!

on January 21, 2022, Franklin asked me to be his girlfriend. since then, we have been inseparable! two years later on April 5, 2024, Franklin asked me to marry him! I was more than shocked, but it was the easiest "YES!" of my life. I can't wait to make so many more memories with him, and spend the rest of our lives together!
