Harold & Cindy met on a blind date! They were set up by mutual friends that thought they would be a perfect plus one for each other. Donna Barrett and Suzanne Graham both knew Cindy and Suzanne and her husband Jim knew Harry. Harry mentioned to Suzanne that he would like to find someone that would just be willing to get a bite to eat or see a movie, nothing serious. Suzanne told Donna and the search began. Donna approached Cindy one day at the office, unfortunately, Cindy thought that Donna wanted her to volunteer for something and was hesitant to go in but she did. Donna made mention that she wasn't sure where I was in the grieving process but that Suzanne had a friend that was looking for someone just to have a good time with. I was open to the suggestion, and they gave my number to Harry. It wasn't very long after that that I got a phone call, it was Harry with all sorts of questions. I was going away that Saturday and it was already Thursday so he wanted to know if we could have breakfast at John Skis on Friday morning. I said yes and we made arrangements to meet at 8 AM. I arrive, dressed for work and it was during Covid so we both had masks. Unbeknownst to me some of my best girls decided to check us out at our meeting. They drove by and waved. I laughed and Henry said, do you know those people? I said yes they're my girls they just wanna make sure you're not a serial killer, to which Harry said, they can't see how handsome I am, because I have my mask on! That's what broke the ice. The story gets pretty lengthy, but we went in and had a nice breakfast argued about who was paying the check, he gave me his number and said I know you work full-time so if you want to get together again, let me know. Obviously I did.
