Our Wedding

Harouna and Riley met on the first day of college at the freshman Atheneum dinner. By chance, they sat at the same table. Though they did not start dating until 2017, they were good friends during all of college and kept in touch before officially starting to date. They enjoyed the sunny days at Claremont McKenna College before moving to Washington, DC to start working. When Riley got into medical school in 2021, they started a new journey of dating long distance, one that lasted 2 1/2 years. They knew that it would be worth it, despite the challenge of living far apart with very busy schedules! They were still able to see each other frequently and found the time to travel too. Harouna proposed on a beautiful fall day in October of 2023, committing to a life full of love, adventures, traveling, and weekend mornings watching soccer. They cannot wait to share their love with their friends and family at their wedding in the state they met and started their love story. This winery, Avensole, is a place they found during their time in college and look forward to sharing its beauty with everyone.
