Lisbon is a fairly small walkable city, in the past we have stayed quite central in the area around Rossio Square, we are staying at The One Palâcio hotel.
However please feel free to stay wherever you wish, there is an abundance of hotels, apartments and airBnBs to choose from.
The venue is only a short 10-15 minute drive from this central point.
There are direct flights into Lisbon out of Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Heathrow if you are traveling from around London.
For those flying in from the North, Manchester airport also has direct flights.
Our friends flying in with us from Dubai, there are direct flights twice daily.
There are a few ways to get from the airport to the centre of Lisbon. Taxis and Ubers/Bolt are super easy to pick up at the airport (many don't accept card so double check or have cash available). Alternatively, the metro runs directly from the airport into various station across the city - just tap on and off.
Make sure your passport is valid! The new passport rules mean that you have 10 years from your date of issue, not the additional months that used to be added if you renewed your passport early.

- Wander around the district of Alfama, there's a beautiful lookout 'Miradouro de Santa Luzia' and a tiny bar just next to it - 'Bar Terraço de Santa Luzia'
- Lisbon is famous for their trolleys, the number 28 ticks off all the popular tourist sites
- If you're making a holiday out of the weekend and have an extra day, take the train over to Sintra to see all the old palaces there (you do have to book this in advance)
