Ah, where to begin? In May 2022, amid the chaotic ebb and flow of life, we stumbled upon something rather extraordinary—each other. It wasn’t love at first sight, nor was it a fairytale moment where the heavens parted and choirs sang. No, it was far more mundane and delightful than that. Our first encounter was over sushi, woven together with awkward arguments, an exchange of family feud stories, overwhelming laughter, and a mutual appreciation for the finer things in life—mainly food.

It became immediately apparent that we shared an insatiable hunger not just for omakase, but for life itself. We reveled in exploring new cultures, savoring dishes that dared to be as bold as our conversations, and challenging each other’s perspectives with every heated discussion. What started as a series of late-night phone calls—where we debated everything from the morality of pineapple on pizza to the future of democracy—soon blossomed into something far deeper. Our bond was forged through these delightful clashes, underpinned by a mutual respect, love, appreciation, and curiosity that only grew stronger with time.

Together, we’ve explored continents—finding joy in the simple moments, from tasting street food in bustling markets to wandering through foreign cities, lost and delighted in equal measure. We’ve faced challenges too. Yet, through it all, we’ve learned that love isn’t just about shared joy; it’s about facing adversity together, holding steadfast to one another and putting each other first and foremost, even when the road is a little rocky.
