What is the attire?
Kayla and Harrison request that guests dress in a semi-formal or cocktail attire. We would love to see our guests in their best! Have a dress with a bold pattern in the back of your closet you haven't had a chance to wear yet? Our wedding is the perfect opportunity! The wedding will be held inside, with the option to spend time in an outdoor courtyard, so guests don't need to worry about outdoor temperature or chances of rain/snow during the ceremony or reception. For feminine attire this includes, midi-dresses, maxi-dresses, jumpsuits, power suits, etc. For masculine attire, this includes suit pants, slacks, sports jackets, ties, bowties, collared shirts, etc. We ask guests to refrain from the following clothing pieces; t-shirts, jeans, casual sun-dresses, baseball hats, etc. We can't wait to see all of our favorite people, wearing what they feel and look best in.
What time should I plan to arrive?
We ask that guests arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time to allow time to find a seat, chat with others and get settled before the ceremony begins at 5:00PM, thank you!
What is the bar situation?
Guests will have the ability to choose from several hosted wines and beers, as well as N/A options including sodas, seltzer waters, coffee, etc. Hard liquor and other cocktails will be available through a cash bar.
What can I expect for food?
During cocktail hour, there will be a variety of Kayla and Harrison's favorite casual snacks available. Think super light, such as pretzels, and crackers, a few sweets, etc. For dinner guests can expect a buffet-style meal provided from Brasa Rotisserie Chicken. There will be options for most dietary restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. On the RSVP there will be a section to let us know any dietary restrictions or concerns. A late-night snack and desserts can also be expected.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes please! RSVPs are super important for us to give an accurate number to vendors, please RSVP with "yes" or "no" no later than September 15th, 2024. Due to vendor timelines, any RSVP not submitted by September 15th, will be counted as a "no". We hope everyone can make it and will be anxiously waiting for your RSVP reply :)
Are kids invited?
Unfortunately, kids are not invited to the wedding. We would love to be able to celebrate with your children, but due to budgetary restrictions we cannot accommodate kids. As a teacher, Kayla would also love a kid free event :)
Can I Bring a Plus One?
Due to venue and budget restrictions, only guests explicitly stated on the formal invitation will be able to attend the wedding. We have done our best to ensure significant others are invited. If you have any questions about who is or isn't invited, please reach out for clarification!
Should I Bring a gift?
Your presence is the best present :) Gifts are welcomed but not expected. If you would like to bring a gift, we are registered through The Knot at several online retailers, or would love a donation to our honeymoon fund!
Will there be dancing?
YES!!!! Kayla and Harrison's favorite part of any wedding is the dancing, our goal is to get every guest on the dance floor for at least one song. Wear your best boogie shoes, and be prepared to break out your best moves with the bride and groom.
