We recommend this over the Salem Witch Museum which is... not great.
If you need a little skeeball to hold you over till next Rehoboth or just want to spend some time outside looking at the ocean, this is a great waterside park to visit.
The area around Essex Street and Washington Street is great for some classic Salem window shopping: cobblestone and brick walkways, candles, crystals, wands, anything you can think of with a witch printed on it on it. You might even see a weirdo!
Beverly's best dive. Just over the Beverly-Salem bridge is the cheapest lobster you can find, and maybe the strongest drinks. Here is a tutorial on how to eat a lobster (I don't personally eat the Tomalley). Just know, if you watch this at the restaurant, you're going to get some looks.
There is no shortage of excellent restaurants and bars in the area but if you are looking to take advantage of the late summer weather then this is always a fun stop.
The brewery business is booming in Beverly. If this is your kind of activity then you should know that Backbeat, Coastal Mass, Gentile, and Old Planters are all within walking distance of each other.
