Gerard and I often joke that we used up all of our luck finding each other. The chances of our paths crossing were slim to none, but on a cold day in March after an Army v. Arkansas rugby game, our worlds began to intertwine. We began daily FaceTime calls where our bond began to grow stronger as the days went by and then finally, during that following summer we were able to meet again. That is when our love story began to grow even more. Although it was limited, we made the most of every chance we got to see each other. Flying from West Point to Arkansas, and Arkansas to West Point. Traveling over 30,000 miles within the course of a year, long distance only galvanized our love for each other. For over a year, we had almost 1,000 miles between us, so we had to think outside the box. From FaceTime movie dates, phone calls that would last for hours, or buying McDonalds at the same time to have a ‘normal’ date. While it was difficult being apart, the love that was growing day by day, excited and exhilarated both of us. We know this was nothing short of a “once in a lifetime” love. We are incredibly excited to begin our lives together. We want to thank all of our friends and families for the support and love. We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you on our special day.
With Love ,
Gerard & Hattie
