Leif Harfst is Hauke’s older brother. He lives in Longview, WA where he works as a mechanical engineer specializing in automations for sawmills. He is married to Sarah Harfst.

Kenner and Hauke met when they started ROTC at CWU together in 2012 and have been friends ever since. Kenner currently lives in Ellensburg, WA. He is a veteran of the Army Reserve.

Hauke and CJ served together in 3-73 Cavalry, 82nd Airborne Division as Troop Commanders. Their friendship grew close as they participated in multiple Combat Training Center rotations together, as well as a no-notice deployment to Poland as part of the 82nd Airborne Divisions Immediate Response Force in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. CJ serves as an Active Duty Armor Officer and is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Notre Dame University.

Bryan and Hauke met in ROTC and their friendship grew while they worked together in the student government at CWU. Bryan, an Ellensburg native, served as an Active Duty Armor Officer for several years and is now a member of the Washington State National Guard. He has settled down in Ellensburg and currently serves as the Kittitas County Auditor.

Hauke and Zak served together as Lieutenants in 1-91 Cavalry, 173rd Airborne Brigade in Grafenwöhr, Germany. Together they traveled across the Europe both on and off duty. Zak serves as an active duty Medical Service Corps Officer and he recently completed PA school. He now serves as a PA in the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC.

Cas and Hauke have been friends ever since they were children in Yakima, WA. Almost all adventures that Leif, Hauke, and their friends did together, to include wrecking vehicles in the mountains, always included Cas. A Cowiche native, Cas works as a real estate agent and is also an extremely talented motor cross rider.
