Necessary Documentation for Travel
A valid passport or other acceptable identification is necessary to cross the US/Mexico Border. When returning to the US, travelers are required to show a valid passport, passport card, or residency card. Trusted Traveler Programs such as NEXUS, SENTRI, Global Entry or FAST Pass are available for those who have already completed the necessary process.
Please note, voter registration card, military ID, driver's license and social security cards are not considered valid forms of citizenship identification.
Additional Travel Information
We recommend a early Friday or Saturday arrival and a Monday departure for more ease at the border crossing. However, if that is not possible the earlier hours of the day will be less busy. For anyone with NEXUS, SENTRI, Global Entry or FAST Pass, please bring it with you as this will speed up the border crossing process.
