Amanda is Haylee's big sister...I'm sure you can see the resemblance! We became sisters in 2007 when we were 9 and 15 years old...both of us had always wanted a sister. Now I can hardly remember a time where we weren't in each other's lives.
Amanda is an RN at the Lethbridge jail, mom to our sweet niece Maleiah, and currently has our newest niece or nephew in the oven!

The outdoorsman of the family, and the first person the bride and groom will call if the apocalypse ever comes. 

Austin Penner

Truthfully, Haylee was scared of Kiana in the beginning. Her RBF could kill someone. Once you get through her thick skin, she is an absolute ball of mush who loves her people so deeply. We can always count on Kiana to reach the top shelf, and to be brutally honest!

Kiana Friesen

The youngest and (maybe) the most athletic Penner brother, although he was a professional baseball player, he couldn’t ever hit Kale’s change-up. 

Ty Penner

Nik may seem quiet and shy, but please don't be fooled. She is a true lover of vodka drinks (because the Sunday Scaries are less scary) and cranking up Hannah Montana - around the campfire when everyone has already gone to bed. There's never a dull moment with Nik!


Nikole Friesen

Kale’s longest friendship, spanning 20+ years. Teammates through it all, hockey, baseball and beer pong. 

Zac Aos

Lovingly known as 'Kurt' by those closest to her and is literally the only person to call Haylee 'Haylbale'. Not only is Kurt an absolute ray of sunshine, but she is also one of the best friends a girl could ask for. 

Kirsten Gulkiewich

Jay and Kale met in grade 6 and played every sport you could think of together, as well as a few “games” Jay made up on the spot because normal games aren’t good enough. 

Jayden Kooy

J is arguably the wildest of the bridesmaids. Whether it's a concert, a simple girl's night, or the entire Calgary Stampede WEEK, Jaida will almost never turn down a good time. Not only is she an absolute angel, she also recently got her ticket for Heavy Duty Mechanic!

Jaida Overes

Kale’s (almost) brother-in-law, though they have felt like family for years already. Despite being the oldest groomsmen, he’s in better physical shape than the rest of us combined. 

Matt Crawford

Wyatt and Kale played together on nearly every baseball team growing up, and now coach baseball together. To this day, Wyatt remains the only center fielder Kale trusts behind him 

Wyatt Tomalty

Kale and Ral played baseball together almost every year, coached together, and now in (baseball) retirement, enjoy a round of golf together.

Em is Haylee's younger cousin - the oldest great grandchild on one side and the second oldest grandchild on the other side (IYKYK), we like to joke that we can never get rid of each other! Emmerson has grown so much in just 14 short years, and is becoming such a poised and loving young woman!

Our precious niece, who gave us the title of 'Guide Parents'. Not only is she absolutely perfect in our eyes, but she will also be getting promoted to big sister this summer...which will be great for her as she loves the word 'mine'

Maleiah Crawford

The daughter of Maddy & Jayden Kooy, Vallie may be one of the cutest little girls you've laid your eyes on. If she grows up to be anything like her dad, she's sure to be a handful in all the best ways possible!

The first grandchild on the Penner side, Jax is the oldest child to Austin & Merrit. He may look 10, but don't be fooled, he is actually 3! We're hoping that he does better than when his dad was a ring bearer!

Making his MC debut!! Haylee has known Nick longer than the entire bridal party - graduated high school together in 2016, and for some reason have not been able to get rid of each other since then. He is also Kale's forever beer die partner - even if he's missing part of his finger!

Very well versed in the art of Wedding MCing, this will be his 4th gig - just call it dinner and a show! Austin might also be the best Jamboree Days softball team manager we've had. Unfortunately, he seems to always be the MC and never the groom!
