Q + A

What is the Dress Code?

The dress code is Dressy Casual/Semi-Formal. This falls between "formal" and "casual". We have linked an article outlining what "dressy casual" means to us if you would like some more information and direction. https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-semi-formal

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Please RSVP online using the website or QR code on the invitation.

When do I need to RSVP by?

April 20th

Can I bring a plus-one?

Unfortunately the venue we fell in love with has a lower max capacity, so we're really limited on who we can invite. For your convenience, we have specified on the RSVP menu which individuals are accounted for with your invitation.

Where do I park?

Our venue has very limited parking accommodations. We recommend street parking near 13th Street and Avenue L if you choose to drive to the ceremony.

Have you reserved a block of hotel rooms?

Yes! We have a block of hotel rooms reserved at the Cotton Court Hotel for the night after the wedding or the Courtyard Mariott Downtown/University Area for Friday and Saturday night. There is a discounted group rate for people who choose to book. If you choose to reserve a room at either hotel, you are responsible for all costs and fees associated with the room. Use code: Flournoy - Ashmore when booking. To book, For the Cotton Court, call 210-220-3054 before May 3rd at 6pm to reserve your room. For the Courtyard by Marriott, use the like in accommodations and reserve your room by April 30th.

What type of food will be served?

We will be serving charcuterie during cocktail hour and have a buffet with a selection of chicken parmesean or chicken pesto with pasta, garlic bread, and salad. The cake will have nuts in it; however, we will have nut-free options for guests with allergies.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 15302 CR 2170 Lubbock, Texas 79423 or you can bring it to the wedding where a gift table will be at the back of the room. A wedding card box will also be at our reception.

Will there be alcohol?

There will be a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wine at the reception. We will have bartenders serving alcoholic drinks and a jar for their tips.

Will I need cash for anything?

We will be having a honeymoon dance where you can donate cash to dance with the couple to help fund the honeymoon. All tips for the bartenders will also be up to the guests, so bringing cash is recommended. We will also have venmo/cash app options for those things as well.

What time should I arrive?

We ask that you arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the ceremony start time (Ceremony start time: 5:30pm).

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Yes we will have a cocktail hour in the upstairs portion of the venue while the bridal party and family take pictures at the altar.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?

Restaurants that we recommend for out of town guests include: Orlando's, The Brewery, and Torchy's Tacos. These are our favorites, but Lubbock has so many great options.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We ask that you refrain taking photos during the ceremony so that our photographer can get the best possible shots without phones or cameras in her shot. We will have opportunities to take photos during the reception, and that would be a great place to get a photo with the couple using your own device if you wish.
