I met Joshua when I was in the 9th grade at Yucaipa High School, he was in the 10th grade. We had mutual friends, but we never really crossed paths until we had a science class together, still even then we didn't talk much. I noticed him staring at me every day when I walked into class. I started to stare back, and he would quickly look away, (a trick his dad taught him). I thought he was so cute and when I was on FaceTime with one of our mutual friends, he asked me if I would ever date Josh. Being the shy young girl I was, I say "no way"! not knowing Josh was there with the mutual friend. A couple of days go by, and Josh comes over to my table in class and asked if anyone had done the homework. Of course, I said "yes, I will send it to you, just give me your phone number". I sent him the homework, and he didn't respond to me for 3 days, (playing hard to get). I decided to text him and try some flirting, he gave in and flirted back, the rest is our history.

We definitely have had some ups and downs, but we are in it together, looking to our future.

Our love of the river and desert is a forever bond between us. Josh proposed to me out in Glamis Dunes on October 28, 2023, it was a magical moment that we were able to share with family and friends.

An opportunity came for us to move into a house together in Yucaipa in November of 2023. We are currently working at managing a household with a sweet loveable dog named Whiskey that Josh got me on Valentines Day 2024.

That's our story for now, we can't wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
