Questions & Answers!

How do I RSVP and what's the deadline?

Attached to your invitation is a QR code whereby you can RSVP, or you can visit the 'RSVP' section of our website. Kindly RSVP by the 6th of April 2024. If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity.

What if I don't RSVP in time?

If you do not RSVP by the 6th of April 2024, you will be marked as "not attending". We would love celebrating with you; however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVP's. This will mean you are not allowed to show up to our special day. There will be no seating, food, or drink accommodations for you.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Is there a dress code?

We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are requesting semi-formal attire for the evening. No jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers, please! Women, please refrain from wearing white or shades of white.

What time is the ceremony?

The ceremony is to begin at 4:30 pm sharp. We ask that guests arrive by 4:20 pm to allow time for the wedding party to get into their places.

What happens if I am late to the ceremony?

It is at the discretion of our venue staff whether they can seat you without causing a disturbance, but likelihood is that you will be asked to wait until the ceremony is finished. This is why we recommended our guests arrive at 4:20 pm ready for a 4:30 pm start.

Will the ceremony and reception both be at the same location?

Yes, both our ceremony and reception will be held on the grounds of The Barn at Cedar Hill.

Is the event inside or outside?

As much as we are hoping that the weather will allow an outdoor ceremony, our venue also has a beautiful inside option. We should be able to get a better idea closer to the wedding day. Our reception will be held inside the barn.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones are on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We ask that all guests follow this and be completely present during our special time. We have hired a professional photographer to capture our special day and we'd hate for their shots to have phones in them! After the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos as you'd like!

Will there be alcohol?

Yes, there will be alcohol. We will be providing beer and wine but absolutely no liquor. We kindly ask that you do not bring personal drinks. On another note, we understand you are here to have a great time celebrating our big day, but we ask for you to be smart. Please make sure you are able to get home safely after the event ends.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is complimentary guest parking. However, every night the venue locks up the barn and the gate by the road. Any cars left over night will be locked in until the gate opens the next morning at 10am. If any cars are left overnight, they must be removed before 12 pm the next day or they will be towed.

Are there nearby hotels?

Yes! Under the "travel" tab of our website you can find details of nearby hotels. These are the ones closest to the venue, but you are more than welcome to stay somewhere else of your choosing. Our venue has several nearby Airbnb options that you can look up as well!
