It was Summer 2020 when Hayley decided to move to Fripp Island, SC for the summer to work as a Recreation Intern for her sister Hannah. She was so excited to live on this private little resort island for the summer with her sister and soak up as many beach days and golf cart rides as possible (and work a little...key word "little"). Little did she know, one of her beach days at the very beginning of summer, Memorial Day weekend led to her meeting Brady. For those who don't know, Brady's Birthday is May 29th, conveniently right around one of the first big summer weekends. Brady loved to celebrate this weekend by getting a big beach house on Fripp Island with a bunch of his buddies. The day Brady and Hayley met, Hayley had been at the beach all day, as she does, and Brady was just arriving before sunset with his big group of friends. The part of the beach where they met was at the tip of the island and also has the best sunset view, some may know it as "make out point". As soon as our friend groups approached, Brady had his eyes on Hayley and of course had to spark conversation. After learning that Hayley is from Michigan and at the time was a student at Central Michigan University, the connections started to be made. Although Brady was born and has spent his entire life down south, his entire family is also from Michigan. They figured out that Hayley knew his cousin from school and that their dads happened to have a mutual friend. Talk about a small world! Hayley and Brady have been together since that day, summer 2020. They spent every moment it seemed possible together that summer, until Hayley had to move back to Michigan in August for her Senior year of college. That year Hayley and Brady did long distance, while Brady was living in Daytona, FL working for Nascar. This consisted of a lot of trips to Florida for Hayley and very minimal trips to Michigan for Brady, who prefers to avoid the cold weather. Hayley graduated in May 2021 and knew she wanted to move back to South Carolina, so she did. By early 2022, Hayley and Brady were both living in Charleston, SC where they still are to this day! Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend 2024, Brady pulled off the ultimate surprise proposing to Hayley on the beach in Charleston surrounded by both families and closest friends. It was truly the perfect day and weekend. After all, it's a small world and you never know who you'll meet on that quaint little fishing island!
