It was the summer of 2017 and Hayley started her first job as a lifeguard at the RSM Lake. The absolute perfect job for a girl that loves to be around water. Rather than work another summer at Starbucks, Chris decided to pursue his passion of public safety by also getting a job at the RSM Lake. Hayley was 19 years old and Chris was 20, both were single and no idea there summer job would lead them down the waterway of Love. They had briefly seen each other in passing at work, but they never had the opportunity to engage in conversation. They were actually forced to speak to each other when their manager randomly assigned Chris and Hayley to drive out together to a lifeguarding assignment in Irvine. Chris insisted on driving, but unfortunately got lost. It wasn’t entirely Chris’s fault because Hayley offered to navigate. Hayley was talking so much, she stopped paying attention to the directions on her phone. What should have been a thirty minute drive from RSM to Irvine, turned into over an hour drive. After their shift ended that day, Hayley and Chris went to a local burger joint with their manager for dinner. The RSM beach club will always have a special place in Chris & Hayley's heart.

This was Chris & Hayley's 4th time "hanging out" and their first picture taken together. They had gone to Raging Water's during the day and decided to go to the Griffith Observatory and the Walk of Fame that night. This was the last time that summer they would "hang out" since they were both going back to college. Hayley was going back to school in Arizona and Chris in NorCal.

Chris and Hayley spent their winter break together when they were both home from college. They spent a fun day at Universal Studio's in LA.

Another winter break home together. They had gone to an Anaheim Ducks game that night and a New Year's Eve party after.

Chris drove from CA to AZ to get his teeth cleaned by Hayley. Two days later before he drove back home, Chris asked Hayley to be his girlfriend. Hayley said "YES"!

Last picture of the summer before Hayley & Chris had to do a long distance relationship. Hayley was going to Cambodia for her externship and Chris was starting the Butte County Fire Academy.

Reunited at last! Hayley was on winter break and Chris had just finished the Fire Academy in Chico, CA.

Chris & Hayley's long distance relationship was cut short due to Covid! Hayley finished her final few months of college from home and they spent almost everyday of the lockdown together. That was the only good thing that came out of the pandemic.

Chris proposed at the park located above Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach, CA. This was a very special place for both of them because this is where they "hung out" for the first time. It was a beautiful engagement and a day they will forever cherish.
