How We Met

It all started with a visit to the dentist. Most love stories start that way right? Andrew’s mom, Mary, had been Hayley’s dental hygienist for&nbsp;years. They swapped stories and interests via the dental chair for almost a decade. Mary couldn’t help but notice that Hayley was just like her son in so many ways… It’s true by the way, friends often refer to them as the male and female versions of each other. On this particular visit, Mary found out Hayley was on the market and asked for her number to give to her son (they call it “dental dating”). It took Andrew 2 weeks to come up with the perfect text to ask Hayley out. It read: “I heard you love hot yoga and have nice teeth.”&nbsp;That text won Hayley over and they went on their first date to tower 12 on Zuma beach where they spent the whole day getting to know one another. They&nbsp;bonded over growing up in neighborhoods just 10 minutes apart, attending rival high schools and even attending the same church their whole childhood. They had so many friends in common and quickly realized their paths had been crossing their entire lives. They instantly knew this was something special. And as they say, the rest… is history. Together, Hayley and Andrew love to practice hot yoga, hike, enjoy the beach (surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding… rarely relaxing on the sand), attend the nearest brewery to enjoy an IPA (but mostly to see who’s on a winning streak in monopoly deal or backgammon), frequent concerts to dance the night away and take advantage of traveling whenever they can, thanks to Pilot Dietz. Oh and of course, they both have very nice teeth. They cannot wait to share their special day with you all!&nbsp;

Our Proposal

Hayley and Andrew’s first date began at Zuma beach, but ended miles away at Leo Carrillo where they explored the caves and enjoyed beautiful views with even better company. Cut to - two years later (just 20 days shy of their first date), Andrew proposed at the very same beach. The day leading up to the proposal had been cloudy and grey, but as fate would have it, as soon as Andrew got down on one knee the&nbsp;clouds parted and the sun shined through. Not a coincidence if you ask Hayley and Andrew :)

Airports

We recommend flying into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), about 1 hr 20 min drive to the venue, or Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), about 1 hr drive to the venue. If you are arriving on the day of our wedding, please keep in mind, those ETAs do not include our infamous Los Angeles traffic so please plan accordingly.

In order to receive the room block rate for ANY of the dates above, please call the Front Desk Reservation Line at (805) 716-4200 and request to make a reservation under Frazier-Dietz Wedding. At this boutique hotel, the Courtyard Room faces the garden/pool ($30 more a night) versus the Standard Room which will not include the same view. It is a 17 minute drive from the Palm Garden Hotel to the venue.
