A little over two years ago, two strangers found themselves sitting next to one another overlooking the Long Beach Marina. Neither person was looking for anything more than to unwind while enjoying a few drinks and people watch. The two struck up a conversation and what started out as a superficial chat quickly morphed into deeper conversation. They talked about things like what they wanted out of life, their kids, likes, dislikes, mistakes they've made, their careers, and why they were both in the exact position they were in... They laughed about how similar they were. One hour turned into three and the next thing they knew they had to call it a night. He had an early flight the next day and she needed to spend the last day she had in California with her kids before returning to Fort Lee for the next few months. He walked her to her car and said hopefully we can keep in touch, she agreed and they exchanged numbers... then a kiss. Every night following that first evening they made it a point to facetime. They spent hours on the phone getting to know each other. In the last week of her military training, he decided to fly her to his house for a week so they could spend some real time together. When she arrived at DFW Airport everything felt right. He made her feel safe. He made her feel loved. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she was home, like she was where she belonged. That beautiful week flew by and they had no idea how they were going to make things work with long distance, young kids, and work; but they made a promise to make things work and always put in effort to prioritize that promise to one another. After many trials and tribulations: long distance, dozens of airplane rides, custody court, sending one kid to college, Spirit filing bankruptcy , and two cross country moves later they finally found peace. They live in a charming and quaint mountain town where they can raise their boys and prioritize the better things in life, their family and their love for each other. On the night of New Years Eve, surrounded by family he pulled out a ring and asked her if they could spend the rest of their lives together... she shrieked and ran away immediately, not because she didn't want to say yes... but because she was wearing her grandmother's nightgown and had no make up on!!!! She of course came back and said yes and held him tight.
This brings us to today.

We are so happy to share our love story with you and honored to have you present for the moment we make promises to one another and say I do. Our guest list is very small because we only wanted the people who are the most special to us present for this intimate moment... We love all of you and can't wait to see you!
