It all began long before we even realized it. Hayley and Mitch first crossed paths as kids in elementary school—Mitch in Grade 8 and Hayley in Grade 6. They knew of each other, but their lives didn’t intertwine just yet. They went on to attend the same high school, still without crossing paths in any meaningful way. Life moved forward, and they each pursued their own paths through college and university, both in long-term relationships that eventually ran their course. Then came January 2022.Out of the blue, Mitch sent Hayley a message on Instagram after she posted a photo at the Formosa Ice Rink—a place that would come to mean so much more to them. They decided to go on a date... and the rest is history. Since that first message, their lives have grown beautifully together. They’ve added two lovable Portuguese Water Dogs, Finn and Clover, to the family. They’ve explored the world on adventures to Eastern Canada, Florida, and Hawaii—where Mitch proposed. Along the way, they also became proud homeowners, owning both a duplex and a triplex in Walkerton. Now, they’re ready for their next chapter: tying the knot. And there's no better place to do it than where it all truly began—at the Formosa Ice Rink. It’s where Mitch first reached out, where they had their first date, and where he asked Hayley to be his girlfriend. It’s been a journey years in the making, and they can’t wait to see where life takes them next—together.
