Naval Academy Access

Access Requirements

All attendees must have valid credentials to access the USNA Complex.

-Those who are “credentialed”, meaning they have either a Military ID (active, retired or dependent) or a Common Access Card (CAC) may drive on using any of these IDs.

-Anyone that is not “credentialed” is required to complete the attached SECNAV 5512 Form to request access.

-The Trusted Traveler Program (the ability of a credentialed individual with base access to escort a non-credentialed individual) has been suspended. No one is currently permitted to escort non-credentialed individuals at this time.

Please Note

-Forms must be typed (handwritten forms will not be accepted).

-All highlighted fields are required and must be properly completed to avoid delays.

-Completed forms must be submitted to nabsdaccess@usna.edu.

-Do not send forms to individual staff email addresses.

Processing Time

Access request forms should be submitted as soon as possible, as processing times vary and could take up to 30 days depending on the current backlog. The Access Team will notify you by email once your request has been processed and provide instructions for obtaining your credential.

Shuttle Info

Guests are not permitted to walk on the Naval Academy, so if you are planning to attend the ceremony, please take the shuttle from the hotels (see here for more info on the shuttles).

A Note from Dan and Hayley

We understand that some guests may feel uncomfortable submitting to a background check, and you are more than welcome to skip the ceremony and join us for the reception.

Questions

If you have questions regarding the form, please contact Hayley and Dan.
