Where it all began!! This was Taylor and I's first date at Motorcross! Taylor and I met at a bar, and a few days later, he asked to give me a call. I immediately called my best-friend and was like, "why does he want to call me???" As it turns out, he wanted to verbally ask me out on a date. My friend had already figured that out, laughing and telling me that was what he probably wanted to do . Little did I know that first date would turn into forever!

This is when we moved in to our first place together as a family! Taylor, Journey and I have loved sharing memories so far in this sweet historic home we get to rent. We love walking around town, listening to live music, and getting to live where our love first started!

This was the first of, what I hope to be, many vacations together! We hit up Destin, Florida, but the weather was pretty awful... Still, this trip will always be one of my faves! Taylor treated me to anything I wanted while shopping, we watched our favorite scary movie at the movies, he got to play some golf while I read peacefully at the beach, and we just chilled and soaked up each other's company. We shared laughs, danced at local bars, and chowed down on delicious food!

A moment for the RING - So, we went ring shopping - yep, I'm that girl who knows what she wants! We checked out a few places, some just for kicks, but the last time was the real deal. I found my ring, and it was like it was made just for me - such a perfect fit! Before our vacation, Taylor had a little chat with my parents for their blessing and then talked to his folks too. When it came to getting the ring, Taylor took a day off to see if it could be done before our trip. They said they'd do their best, and boy, did they ever deliver! We even had to adjust our travel plans, and if you know my father... he wasn't too happy about it. But, the jeweler waited and waited for the shipment to come in and when he said it might not make it on time, our friend Izzy offered to drive it down to Florida! Talk about a good friend, right?! In the end, Taylor picked up the ring, and it was barley ready to go! Meaning the jeweler was getting the diamond placed as Taylor was there to pick it up. And here's the best part - the guy who made my ring was one of my students' grandfathers! How cool is that?

I'm sure Taylor's story to this day is A LOT different than mine LOL. But I thought I would for sure know the day I would be getting proposed to, and in my mind it would not be at 7 am on a morning sunrise walk.... Haha. BUT! This was the greatest day of my life! Taylor couldn't keep the ring in his sunglass case for one. more. day.(when he and everyone else was prepared the proposal would happen, which was supposed to be a couple days into vacation), so he asked the first thing on the first morning on vaca! Wouldn't have wanted it any other way:-) A sweet stranger snapped this picture of us seconds after the start to FOREVER!

A friend in my small group took our engagement pictures and will be taking our wedding photos too. These engagement pictures were our first time ever getting pictures done together and it was so much fun for both of us. We will forever treasure these as it represents officially the start of FOREVER for the Vorises!
