Though they grew up in the same small town of Bloomsburg, Haylie and Thomas lived parallel lives, never meeting until the autumn of 2018. In the summer of 2025, as the sun dipped low over Lake Seneca and the water shimmered like gold, Thomas knelt on the dock with the perfect ring.
