Heather and Todd met in 2012 during their sophomore year at Ohio State. They both worked at a smoothie bar in the campus rec center. There they became great friends and met many of their closest friends as well. Over the melodic purr of the smoothie blenders whipping up a gym bros protein shake, Todd and Heather began to, as Gen Z would say, "catch feelings". After going to the National Championship game in Dallas, Todd asked Heather on a date for Valentine's day, February 2015. He dazzled her with a gourmet meal at the Cincinnati chain, Skyline Chili, impressed her with a trip to the zoo in 20 degree weather, and dumbfounded her with a river boat cruise attended by predominately senior citizens. The rest, as they say, is history. Todd moved to Connecticut for graduate school in 2017 and Heather joined him in 2019. After multiple international trips, countless brewery visits, one positive-sense, single-stranded RNA-based viral pandemic, and dozens of new board games played, Todd proposed to Heather in November of 2021 (spoiler: she said yes). They bought a house together in Wethersfield, CT, in April of 2023.
