We first met back in 2019 in Joplin, MO while attending medical school. However, it took us a few months to realize we actually liked each other.

It started off as short study sessions which turned into late night study sessions and hang outs. With nothing else to do in Joplin and the COVID pandemic, we quickly grew close; spending time walking, playing pickle ball, cooking, and of course more studying.

We were fortunate to both move to Kansas City for clinical rotations. Here, our relationship grew as we loved exploring our new city; supporting the chiefs (and of course Arkansas football), going to breweries, finding new places to eat, and visiting all the local plant shops.

Kyle proposed in March of 2023; although there is some debate as if he actually got down on one knee to do the job. We found out Kyle matched in Grand Rapids, Michigan, around this time and moved a few months later.

The last year was spent exploring Michigan and Heather finishing school. Now, we are both working in Michigan and looking forward to continued adventures and building our life together. We are excited to see where we end up after residency!
