The Adventures of Boaz and Heather Cheryl Patlur 

Our Wedding

Boaz and I first met at the bank drive thru as he was a teller at my local bank. He was always friendly! He was funny! Most of all he was and is kind! In the winter of 2022 he attempted to catch my eye with compliments which were: I like the blonde in your hair, I like the reindeer antlers on your van, how are your kids? Nothing came of it and I drove away from the bank drive thru nervous and shy but also texting people that guys in the city were bold. A few months later I began my new journey as an officially single woman again and tried online dating. Boaz popped up not once but twice on two different apps. I recognized who it was. I decided the second time, I texted a few trusted friends, prayed to God, do I give this man a chance. And so I did. I accepted him, we began to chat while I was on my first solo trip in 10 years in California. I let him know I would be on hiatus, but magically I found time to message him and check in. To when I came back, the Friday of that week we decided to go out. He was and still is a sweet, kind, handsome gentleman. Respectfully checked to make sure my kids were ok and everything was running smoothly. We went to Classy Culver's where we got to talk, have fun, chat about life and had a wonderful time. The second part of our first date was Starbucks and there between there and Walgreens we would talk about the depth, the history of each other. One thing I have always loved is he is a wear his heart on his sleeve type of guy, and I am also this way which can be hard and scary at points. He asked me to be exclusive, be his girlfriend, twirled me around in the parking lot, held my hand, kissed me. I have been pursued and still am pursued daily by this amazing man of God. We continued to see each other on dates, he went to my church with me. Met my kids. Each day, each moment, he has always been consistent. Last Fourth of July on July 3rd on Glencoe Beach he proposed to me and I said yes. We are both extroverts, adventurers, that love God and each other and pursue each other daily. He on top of that is an amazing bonus dad and loves my kids so well. We also adopted two kittens last summer named Snowbelle Batgirl and Gracie Mochi. He is an animal lover and protector. Thank you for blessing us and celebrating us on the journey to Boaz and Heather Cheryl Patlur. As well as for a great bonus dad to Ellie and Hazzie. We are thankful to God for bringing us together, for keeping us together, and blessing us with His love, mercy, and joy each and everyday! Thanks to my grandma's Nile's church, them eventually coming to our church a couple years later turned into a decade long and eternity long friendship.
