Mr Bradley and I grew up in the same village from the age of 11 and have been there for each other ever since. As one of my oldest friends Jon has always been ready to help me, advise me, laugh at me and be the best friend anyone could ask for. This includes flying across the world to be by my side in my wedding, a true best man move

Allison is my big sister! She is always looking out for us and making sure that we have everything we need. She is supportive and really funny. I was lucky to stand by her when she married Stephane and was there when she had her baby girl Charlotte! She has always been there for me and I couldn't imagine this day without her!

Cat is my little sister. She is an incredible amount of fun and features in most of my best memories. Some people think we are twins and most people dont get our inside jokes, but trust me, we think we are really funny! She is always there when I need her, my sister, my tenant, my dog sitter and most importantly, my friend. 

Catherine

After coming to Canada in 2008 I met Pat on the football pitch and from there the rest is history. From buying houses to getting married Pat has been with me ready to guide me, advise me and generally be a wonderful friend. In our short history together Pat has been and continues to be an amazing friend

Our friendship blossomed in the later years of school and always seemed to be involving alcohol. The phrase "I'm dying, I'm dying, I'm dying" rings a bell! Whether in school or out of it Rich has been the type of friend you can only dream of. A source of wisdom, comedy and a helping hand in making some of my fondest memories.

Rich

I've known Mary almost as long as I've known my sisters. We met when we were 5 years old and have been relatively inseparable ever since. She is definitely an honorary member of our family. She is the most interesting person that I know, she draws, she drums, she travels the world and has a house full of animals (including a 60 pound pig that she rescued) I love her like a sister and know she will always be in my life!

Mary

Lauren is one of the few who know both Rich and I before we knew each other. We met in Australia while we were both backpacking on our own. We shared the job of "entertainment manager" at the hostel and hosted parties, dress up nights and quiz nights. We were inseperable and shed a lot of tears when she left Manly Beach to travel up the coast. She hails from England but has lived in Vancouver Canada since 2009. Even though we are far apart, we have kept in touch and I absolutely adore her. I cannot wait to see her in May!

Lauren

Mr Frost or Mr McRae…whatever he goes by everyone loves him. He is one of life's best people and another person who I have only known since coming to Canada but also instantly made the best of friends with. He is an inspiration as a friend, as a peer and everyday as a brother

Sean

I've known Erica for over half of my life, since she moved to Ottawa from Saskatoon. We spent many nights hitting the local bars and clubs and many weekends camping, cottaging, and chatting late into the night. I will stand beside her when she marries her Fiancée, Brett, in September and couldn't be happier. She is one of the few people who has the same sense of humour as the Collier girls and I love her very much! 

Erica

Every group of friends has one and Chris is ours. The funniest, silliest, kindest and most unpredictable person the world has ever seen. Chris has been a person I have turned to many a time and has never ceased to be the person everyone needs him to be. Chris and his wife Claire recently welcomed a beautiful daughter Isabel and i m so grateful he is able to take the time to jump the water for my wedding.

Christopher

Honorary Flower Girls! These dogs provide us with more happiness and laughs than anyone ever could. We come home early from places because we don't like to leave them on their own and we get outside every day, even when its minus 30 degrees, because we love these girls so much! Annie is very happy that her parents are getting married and they would join us all night if they were allowed!

"This building once served as the emergency headquarters for the Canadian government after a fire destroyed the Parliament Buildings in 1916, and former Canadian Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier lay in state here. Yes, the castle-esque Victoria Memorial Building has had a lively existence, and today the excitement continues as it serves as the home of the Canadian Museum of Nature. The recently renovated Museum, transforming it into one of the most contemporary museums in the world, features awe-inspiring exhibits that bring everything from the ocean to dinosaurs into focus. "Arachnophobics rejoice, the 30-foot spider outside of the National Gallery of Canada is not real! Maman, the sculpture created by Louise Bourgeois, complete with 26 white marble eggs under its belly, welcomes you to the National Gallery of Canada. Once inside the Gallery, you'll discover one of the greatest art institutions in the world. Its home to more than 40,000 works of art (by over 6,000 artists), home to the most comprehensive collection of Canadian art, including a large number by the Group of Seven, and strong collections of Indigenous, Asian, and International works. National Gallery of Canada

The Tulip Festival will likely be finishing around May 25th. If you are here early or we have a late tulip season, it is worth checking out. It's one of my favourite times of year!"This festival is a celebration founded on international friendship with the 1945 presentation of 100,000 tulip bulbs from Princess Juliana of the Netherlands to Ottawa, Canada's capital, given in appreciation of the safe haven that members of Holland's exiled royal family received during World War II in Ottawa and in recognition of the role which Canadian troops played in the liberation of the Netherlands.The Canadian Tulip Festival is also a celebration of the return of spring, with over a million tulips in 50 varieties blooming in public spaces across the National Capital Region. The highest concentration of tulips can be viewed in the flower beds of Commissioners Park, on the banks of Dow's Lake, where 300,000 flowers bloom." <a href="http://www.ottawatourism.ca">www.ottawatourism.ca</a>

Canadian Tulip Festival

"Covering 361 square kilometres (almost 90,000 acres), Gatineau Park is a short drive or bike ride from downtown Ottawa. Incredible lookout points and vistas — overlooking the Canadian Shield and St. Lawrence Lowlands — make it a natural attraction for photographers; numerous species of birds create a wonderland of opportunities for bird watchers; and pathways turn the park into an oasis for hikers, bikers, and cross-country skiers. "Built during a time when Canada feared a potential attack from the United States, the Rideau Canal has become a defining landmark in Ottawa. The 202-kilometre (126-mile) canal, which travels south to Lake Ontario, first opened in 1832. Its 47 locks and interconnectedness with lakes and rivers is a true engineering marvel, leading to its designation as a National Historic Site of Canada and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Parks and trails line the Canal as its travels through Ottawa, perfect for a scenic picnic and bike ride.From May to early October the Canal becomes a popular spot for cruises, canoes, and kayaks. "The centrepiece of Ottawa's downtown landscape, Parliament Hill is the political and cultural heart of the city. The Parliament Buildings sit atop the Hill, the gorgeous Gothic-style structures overlooking the Ottawa River, as the politicians within debate the present and future issues of the country. Free guided tours are available daily, including a chance to head up to the Peace Tower for an incredible view of the city.
