On December 1st, 2020, after a couple of weeks of getting to know each other, through a "messaging app”, Heather and Anthony had their first date at a Cheesecake Factory (her choice). From the beginning, everything just felt right. The first date was filled with easy conversation and laughter that carried on through to closing time and continued into the early morning hours in an empty parking lot.

In the next few months, after spending most of their free time together, meeting family, and the introduction of a dog (by Heather against Anthony's wishes), they both felt that they were exactly where they were meant to be. Heather and Anthony expressed their love for each other and began envisioning a life together. First, they picked out a house. Then, after a couple of months, they picked out the perfect ring, with the idea that once they were settled into the house, Anthony would buy the ring and propose… but where was the surprise in that?

Heather checked in on the ring every so often, until one day, she learned, through the stores website, that the ring was no longer there. It was sold! She double and triple-checked, eventually going into the store, and sure enough, the ring was gone! Anthony had to assure her that there was nothing to worry about, and that one day, she would get her ring.

That day came on December 17th, 2022. The ring that was sold and no longer at the store was in their closet the entire time, hidden in a trumpet case. With help from Heather's dad and Anthony's brother and sister-in-law to capture the moment, Anthony took Heather to the front steps of the house that was built for them, that they turned into a home, and proposed with the ring she thought was already on another's finger. Heather said yes! Heather was in such shock that she didn't even realize their family was there to witness the event!

Now, they are excited to extend an invite to all of their friends and family to be a part of their story!
