Alan and Heather first met at the Wild Mouse during their morning meeting at Hersheypark back in May 2015. Heather was just promoted as a Ride Lead supervisor and Alan had just started that summer as a Ride Operator. The two eventually became closer friends working together in the same ride group (Midway) that summer.

Heather and Alan went on their first date in August 2015 at the Elizabethtown Fair. They have made it a tradition to go to the Elizabethtown Fair every year since then.

In October 2020, Alan bought his first home and they have both been living together in Hummelstown, PA ever since. Mitzi, Heather's cat, moved in by 2021.

On December 5, 2022, Alan and Heather went to see a Lindsey Stirling concert at the Hershey Theatre. When they returned home, Alan surprised Heather at the front porch of their house by asking her to marry him. Heather said yes (obviously!).

Alan and Heather were recently married on September 3, 2023 at their Chinese wedding. The two are currently looking forward to getting married (again!) at Cameron Estate Inn on June 9, 2024 at their traditional wedding.
