Heather and Nic first met in a van in San Diego. Nic made bad jokes which Heather laughed at sympathetically. That night, Nic told his friends that one day he would marry her.

A few months later, Heather started working at American Dad, where Nic already worked, at a desk twenty feet away from him. They flirted. He told her more bad jokes. She would bring him back Mexican Cokes when she went on work runs cause she knew he liked them.

Then in April 2015 Heather decided to go to Coachella last minute but needed a place to stay. Nic said there was room in the house he and his friends were renting. There on the Polo Fields during an Alabama Shakes song, their eyes met. Either right there, or very shortly after they fell in love and they've been together ever since, still laughing at each others jokes, still locking eyes and falling in love.
