Our Wedding

Westminster College is where this love story began, as Heather and Troy’s paths collided. A small liberal arts college in the middle of Amish country – not exactly the place to find your forever partner. They say you find love in the most unexpected places. They also say it is often love at first sight. The latter statement did not hold true in this case, as Troy kept busy with basketball and Heather spent her time on the soccer field.

It wasn’t until sophomore year that Heather and Troy began to look at each other in a different light. Through frequent interactions on the executive board of an honor society, their friendship began to transform. After some time, Troy built up the courage to ask Heather to a school dance. However, her response was not at all how he envisioned. When asked if she would go to the dance, Heather responded, “Sure, I would love to go! But who would I go with?” Troy sat there puzzled for a moment but stuck to his guns and said, “Well... me?” Heather noticed Troy’s concern and relayed that she was simply teasing him. The two went to the dance together and Troy realized she was the one for him.

On June 18th, 2018, Heather and Troy began officially dating. Over the years, the couple has made memories that will last a lifetime and have truly fallen head over heels for one another. Heather and Troy have become best friends who never keep anything from each other – or so Heather thought. On December 18th, 2022 at the Ringling Museum in Florida, Troy surprised Heather with the most beautiful ring while also coordinating both families to be present. Of course, Heather said yes – who wouldn’t! This love story is the reason we are coming together to celebrate their life-long commitment on May 18th, 2024. May Heather and Troy have many more blessings and cherished memories to come!&nbsp;
