Heather and Steve met in the summer of 2013 when Heather was completing a clinical rotation on Long Island. After they met that summer, they've been inseparable ever since. Steve went to visit Heather every 2-3 weeks when she was finishing her degree in Buffalo, and they would talk for hours each night. They couldn't get enough of each other, so Steve invited Heather to stay with him on Long Island to complete her final clinical rotation for 9 weeks.

Following graduation, Heather immediately moved to Long Island to be with Steve. They live together in Sayville, NY and have a 2 year old Boston Terrier named Duke. They have vacationed to Mexico and to Miami together. They enjoy going to sporting events, cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, going to concerts, hiking, playing with Duke, spending time with family, going to the beach, and cooking/trying new recipes.

They got engaged on October 7, 2016 in their apartment, and spent the day on the East end of Long Island celebrating by visiting wineries, picking apples and pumpkins, and drinking hot cider. It was the perfect fall day! They cannot wait to celebrate their wedding with all of their friends and family in April 2018 at the East Wind! They plan on Honeymooning at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun, Mexico immediately following the wedding.
