Wedding-related events will be posted on this site with requested attire. Other than that - bring your island wear! Some resort restaurants have dress codes so check out the website to be prepared.

We are putting together a plan for an optional all-group excursion on 2/9. More details will be sent via email and posted on the website once determined. Additional excursions can be found here (preferred site provided by hotel): https://www.amstardmc.com/en/excursion/punta-cana/ You also have the option to book excursions on-site once we are at the resort.

Tipping: Bring cash (USD is fine) for tipping! This is expected at the resort. Preferred club guests - you will want to tip your butler immediately - otherwise they might desert you. All other guests should plan tip money as well for bartenders, wait staff, maids and excursion guides.

Lock up your valuables in the hotel safe (passport, cash, jewelry) - while theft is not rampant, I've seen a couple reports from other guests. You may want to bring a lock for your suitcase and lock larger valuables in there. While there have been no reports, always check for bed bugs (we do not need a repeat of Heather & Max's Mazatlán trip - eek!). Also reminder that norovirus and the flu are currently going around - wash your hands often!

If you do not have an international phone plan set up, you can text/call by using WhatsApp. This is the same app the resort will ask you to use to communicate with your butler if you are a preferred guest.

Bottled Water - always (even brushing your teeth). Avoid: Raw or undercooked fish.
