The Arboretum has many beautiful trails and gardens that we encourage you to visit if you have time before or after the wedding. The "Ivey Trail" is the most shoe-friendly trail and it passes by the "English Garden" (#16 on the map), the "Japanese Garden" (#17 on the map), and the "Italian Garden" (#18 on the map). If you would like a trail with more natural terrain (hiking boots recommended), please check out the "Wild Goose Woods Trail" (it has a great boardwalk) or the "Victoria Woods" (a beautiful forested area).

Rent a kayak or canoe per hour and explore the Speed River from the water! This is a very fun and relaxing way to spend your day, and the dock is right beside the Boathouse Tea Room and Ice Cream Parlour! If you prefer to stay on dry land, there is a great walking trail that follows the river.

Drive 15 minutes outside of Guelph and you will arrive at Rockwood Conservation Area, where Dietrich proposed! There is a beautiful hike that follows the water and goes through the forest to a lookout point, as well as some caves, canoe/kayak rentals, mini putt, swimming, camping, picnicking, and so much more!
