Q + A

What is the dress code?

We are requesting that our guests come in formal attire. (Cocktail attire would also be appropriate.) This usually means a suit or jacket for men, and a cocktail or floor-length dress for women. We do not expect tuxedos or black-tie attire. Let us know if you have further questions.

Can I bring my children?

Due to venue limitations, please only bring the people whose names are listed on your invitation unless we have specifically communicated with you about your children.

Can I bring a plus one?

No, please only bring those whose names are listed on the invitation.

Can I give you a gift?

We want your presence at our wedding more than your presents; however, we greatly appreciate any gifts you would like to give us. Please see the registry tab to search for items we need and want, or make a donation to one of our funds.

Can we take pictures at the wedding?

No, please refrain from using your phones or personal cameras for photos during the ceremony. This is for two reasons: it disrupts the sanctity of the ceremony, and it looks bad in the professional photographer's pictures. Please put your phone away and enjoy the moment. We will share the photos with you once we get them back from the photographer.

What will the ceremony be like?

Our ceremony will follow the 1662 Book of Common Prayer service for the Solemnization of Holy Matrimony. We will also be taking Holy Communion as part of the service. Communion will be open to "all who are baptized and love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." If this does not apply to you, kindly refrain from partaking by remaining in your seat, or by simply crossing your arms over your chest while at the table to indicate that you would like a blessing. You can follow the link below if you would like to familiarize yourself with the service ahead of time. We will have programs during the ceremony to guide you as well. https://www.churchofengland.org/prayer-and-worship/worship-texts-and-resources/book-common-prayer/form-solemnization-matrimony
