Justin and Heather met one rainy Friday night when neither were looking to meet anyone.

Heather’s friend Kate invited Heather out to salsa dance, and when they walked in, Heather let Kate know she’s was leaving by 11pm.

Justin had gone out to get a salad for dinner, and was eating at the bar and grill. He also planned for an early night.

Justin noticed Heather as soon as she walked in, wearing a red satin shirt (his favorite color). Heather noticed Justin shortly after ordering her water, and even remarked to Kate “that guy is so good looking!”

Neither Justin nor Heather had any intention of approaching each other, but Kate intervened, calling Justin over while Heather was dancing and encouraging him to speak to Heather. This set everything into motion.

They spent the rest of the night talking, into the wee hours of morning (As they would for many months to come!). They exchanged numbers and met a few days later at Starbucks, which would become a regular date location. A week later Heather impromptu invited Justin for a hike in Bluemont, VA. This is when he took her by the hand and first said “We are teammates, right?”

The time since then has flown, and the sense of calm, connection and clarity has grown. This pairing was the last thing either expected, and exactly what the Universe intended to happen. We are so fortunate to have found each other on that fateful, rainy night. We choose each other every day, and are so excited to share this love forever!
