Heather and Damian’s story began in October 2024, and even before their first date, they both felt there was something truly special between them. Late-night conversations quickly became a regular thing, and it seemed the stars aligned when they finally met in person for their first date at Dave & Buster’s in Lafayette.

When Heather met Damian’s two sons, Ian and Noah, she knew her heart had found a new kind of love. She prayed that this would one day be her forever family—and fate had even bigger plans. Just three months later, they discovered they were expecting a beautiful surprise: their baby boy, Adler Thomas, due November 2025.

The months that followed were filled with laughter, adventures, and building a warm, loving home for their soon-to-be family of five. Then, on October 17, 2025, during a “last hoorah” trip to New Orleans before baby Adler’s arrival, Damian got down on one knee in front of Jackson Square and asked Heather to marry him.

From that first date in 2024 to the moment Damian proposed, every step of their journey has been guided by love, faith, and a little bit of magic. Now, they can’t wait to begin the next chapter—joining their lives in marriage surrounded by family, friends, and God—on November 21, 2026, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
