It all started with a cow costume...

Halloween is probably the greatest holiday ever. You get to dress up AND you get candy...it's brilliant. It has always been a holiday I have loved celebrating and I would never in a million years think that Halloween would lead me to my soul mate. In 2012, my roommate told me her coworker was having a Halloween party and I was more than thrilled to be able to wear my cow onesie costume again. We arrived at the party and this tall drink of water wearing a neon crop top and some track pants that might have been a size too small greeted us. I was informed that this was Kaelyn's coworker, Hunter. We immediately fell in love and the rest is history.

Just kidding...we hardly had any interaction that night. I just really appreciate that fact that we met while wearing ridiculous costumes. It wasn't until a few weeks later when he came over to our apartment that we started to hit it off. He was telling me about the tornado that tore through Tuscaloosa and showing me pictures of all the damage and I was surprised at the ease of our first conversations and how I already felt drawn to this person. Our first date was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and it didn't take long for both of us to dive head-first into this new relationship. The beginning was a whirlwind...everything was new and exciting and the rush of emotions we experienced was like nothing we had ever felt before.

We have since settled into the comfort of a familiar companionship with more joy and love than either of us knew was possible. Looking back, these past 4+ years have been filled with the sweetest memories and we are ecstatic that the best is still to come. We are so thankful to all of those have loved us and supported us through this journey (even if you did make a few jokes about how long it is taking us to get married).
