We met for the first time on a Thursday night at Dorchester brewing. We were actually planning on having our first date early the following week, but in typical fashion; Heather was too impatient to wait, and suggested drinks after work. Cliché’s aside, we both felt as if we’d known each other our whole lives, and the rest was history.

Since then; we bought a house, adopted 3 cats (thus becoming crazy-cat-ladies), and got engaged on a perfect fall day in October. Alannah has moved on from working as an EMT and now holds a permanent position as a firefighter-paramedic in Sharon. Heather still works as a nurse in addition to her position as a nurse practitioner in East Boston. She also became a Crossfit coach at Cynergy in Hanson; the gym Alannah introduced her to and also coaches at.

Every moment is still an adventure; whether staying home baking cupcakes or following a new Half-baked Harvest recipe, re-watching Disney movies for the 9281737th time, having day-long gym dates, or traveling to Alaska for an impromptu vacation.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of our future holds and are so excited to celebrate with the rest of our family and friends!
