Our story started when I “liked” a photo of Adam and his dog, Jeeter on Hinge in April of 2019. The message started out “Aw, so cute!” to which Adam replied, “Yeah, I know I look good here. But I think it’s just the lighting.” After some quick banter, we exchanged numbers and planned to meet up for dinner. However, being the skeptic that I am, and knowing how cruel the nyc dating scene could be, I asked Adam, “So just wondering, whatcha looking for on this app?” A couple of hours later he replied, “Honestly, hopefully meeting the right person!” We had our first date at Carroll Place in the city. I know I said a lot, and Adam mostly listened, like he always does. He made me feel heard and comforted, like he really cared about what I had to say. I knew something just felt right.

Fast forward to 2021, we moved in together to our apartment in Jersey City. On December 30, 2022, Adam planned a day trip to what I thought was going to be Miami. However, it ended up being a surprise trip to Key Biscayne where he proposed with "Love Story" playing in the background. It was truly a day I'll never forget. We can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
