Hector & Kayla met at Lake Worth High School in 2007. Shortly thereafter the two went on a date to a local bowling alley where Kayla threw the ball, it hit the ceiling and she asked to leave. (lol) Hector being the gentleman he is, took her home. At the time the two quickly learned they were not on the same page and parted ways. Although they stayed in contact they both pursued their careers. Hector went on to own a successful cross country trucking business and Kayla pursued the medical field. In May 2020 they reconnected via the help of social media and Hector invited Kayla on a vacation (How could she say no?). If you know anything about Kayla you know she is always willing to travel. During this vacation to Los Angeles, California the two enjoyed each other's company, went on an ATV tour, explored the city and tried new foods. Little did they know, this was the start of their forever.

In 2021, Kayla began nursing school to achieve her BSN degree and become an RN where Hector supported her through every test and tear. (There were a lot). Kayla graduated from Florida Atlantic University in December 2023.

In 2023, the two decided to take the plunge and discuss marriage and kids. While the thought of more kids freaked Kayla out without hesitation she agreed as she knew Hector was her soulmate. On June 5th 2023, Hector (with the guidance of Kayla's daughter Nellie) got on one knee and popped the question. Kayla without hesitation said YES!

After nearly 1 year of fertility up's and down's the two received the news that they had a healthy pregnancy. In December 2023, the two announced they were expecting a baby boy in June 2023, to be named Hector Jr.
