Q + A

Will children be able to attend the wedding?

While we love all the children in our lives, we have decided to keep our wedding celebration an adults- only event. We hope this advance notice means you will still be able to share our big day.

Is there a dress code?

Black tie is preferred. Women are encouraged to dress their best with dresses ranging from mid to full length. Men are encouraged to wear tuxedos or dark suits with ties.

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding?

Transportation will not be provided. Taxis are readily available throughout Cartagena. We ask that you take into consideration that there may be traffic when planning your arrival. Uber is available, but wait times may vary. Regular taxis accept cash payment only.

Areas recommended to stay:

For your convenience, we recommend you stay at a hotel or Airbnb located near the hotel Santa Clara. If you wish to stay near the beach, we recommend staying near Bocagrande keeping in mind this will be approximately a 15 minute drive.

Can I stay at a hotel or airbnb not mentioned in the Accommodations tab?

Of course! Cartagena has many local hotels and Airbnb's that can meet any budget. We simply ask that you stay within proximity of our wedding venue for ease of transportation on wedding day.

Traveling to Cartagena

Our guests will fly into Rafael Núñez International Airport. Depending on your flight, you may encounter a layover in Bogota at El Dorado International Airport. If you have a layover in Bogota, please allow plenty of time in between your flights as this is a major airport in Colombia and South America. Customs will take a couple hours if there are multiple international flights coming in at the same time. If your flight requires a layover, it might be easier doing so in the US.

Do I need to exchange currency?

Although some locations accept most US debit or credit cards, some small vendors, local restaurants, taxis and street artists will require Colombian pesos. Throughout Cartagena and the airport there are currency exchange offices. Alternatively, you could also withdraw Colombian pesos from ATM machines located throughout the airport or Cartagena.

Is the wedding venue accessible?

Yes, there are elevators throughout the building.
