How we met: Through a mutual friend (shoutout to Zach, our best man!) at a college game night during Jonathan’s sophomore year and Heidi’s junior year at Cedarville University.

How it started: A couple of weeks after meeting, Jonathan and Heidi were invited to a group study session. As the night went on, everyone else slowly left, but the two of them stayed studying long after the group was gone. Jonathan later admitted that he had finished studying well before everyone else left, but pretended to keep studying just to spend a little more time with Heidi.

First date: Chipotle followed by pizookies at BJ’s — an elite combo.

What we love doing together: Cooking together, trivia nights, hiking, and any excuse to be active outdoors — pickleball and spikeball included.

Proposal story: Jonathan completely surprised Heidi by flying to Wisconsin to propose on the Fourth of July during her family’s vacation at her favorite childhood spot — Grandma Judy’s house.

Our dream vacation: Greece — exploring its cities and islands and trying all the food!
