It was the year 2021 and like a lot of love stories these days, Heidi and James met on a dating app. James had moved to Chicago from Boston a few months prior, and was enjoying his first Chicago summer. Heidi was enjoying a post-Covid lockdown summer with her friends and sisters.

The start of their first date was not the smooth & romantic first date they had hoped for. The lovely Chicago wind constantly blew heidi’s hair into her mouth while eating, making for quite the embarrassing moments. James could not seem to crack Heidi's shell and get her to talk very much. However, James knew he had begun to win a piece of her as dinner continued and they started to learn more about each other. At the end of the night, they both hoped there would be a chance for a smoother second date.

Heidi and James continued to date over the next weeks and months, enjoying time spent in Chicago as well as Boston, where James showed Heidi his hometown. They even swallowed their pride and attended respective White Sox and Red Sox games, donning their opposing team's jersey.

Heidi and James' love for each other continued to grow with the passing time. With their faith in God set as the foundation for their relationship, they soon realized that their hopes and dreams for life were very much aligned, and that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Prior to taking that next step, Heidi and James were blessed with a baby on the way. As they prepared for their precious baby and the life ahead of them, they joined together before God in an intimate ceremony on April 16th 2023. Josiah James Lamour was born on May 10th.

Heidi and James had always hoped to celebrate their covenant with God with all of their beloved friends and family. They hope that all will be able to join them on October 4th, 2024, as they thank God for continuing to bless them in their relationship.
