Q + A

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We invite you to RSVP online here on our website, or by mailing in the RSVP card that will be sent with the invitation.

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than July 1, 2024.

Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same location?

Yes! The ceremony will take place outside near the top of the knoll on the property. The reception will be held at the actual barn. There will be no need to travel to a different venue!

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes! While the ceremony will take place outside, a representative from Fat Apple Farm will be available to help transport individuals to their seats and to the reception area. There are no steps within the reception area, and the restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

Fat Apple Farm is located a few minutes from US Hwy 151 - halfway between Beaver Dam and Columbus. There will be plenty of room for parking, as well as directional signs pointing the way from US Hwy 151.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The dress code is Dressy Casual Attire. For this time of the year in Wisconsin, we suggest the following attire: Women - sundresses, lightweight separates, and flats or wedge heels for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn. Men - light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks: jackets and ties optional.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Yes! There is an onsite play area with plenty of activities for children to enjoy.

What type of food will be served at the reception?

We are pleased to announce that there will be a themed buffet (American Picnic) available for guests with appetizers, main course and side dishes prepared by Blue Plate Catering. If you have special needs or any allergies, please let either Shawn or Heidi know and we will do our best to accommodate you. For dessert and late night snacks we are happy to share that we will have Nakoa Donuts on site and available to meet your sweet needs.

Will there be meal options for guests with special dietary needs or allergies?

Yes - please let either Heidi or Shawn know about your situation and we will do our best to accommodate. Either call / text or email ShawnHeidiElert@gmail.com.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! Our families will be supplying our alcoholic beverage needs, as well as nonalcoholic beverages for all ages. If you have a favorite drink, please share with either Heidi or Shawn and we will do our best to accommodate.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Yes - but happy hour and appetizers will be served while photos are taken

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Yes! We simply ask that you give our photographer plenty of space and do not hinder their efforts to capture our special day.

What time should I arrive?

Guests can arrive between 2:30pm and 3:25pm. The ceremony will start as close to 3:30pm as possible, and we would hate to have anyone miss a second of our wedding!

Is there a hotel block?

Yes! If you need to reserve a room or hotel space for the wedding, we have a hotel block in Beaver Dam. Reservations may be made by calling Holiday Inn Express & Suites at (920) 392-7900 or via their website by using our group code C11. Our group name is Elert-Lindert Wedding ❤️
