We met at Austin Community College in a College Algebra class the fall of 2019 right before COVID. During this time, we would get to class early where we began talking in the hallway. Around Thanksgiving week I was going out of town for a few days and was trying to get notes and homework assignments before I left. LD overheard this and asked for my phone number so we can exchange notes for class. After finals we went on a movie date then a few weeks later we went to the Austin Trail of Lights where he asked me to be his girlfriend on December 17, 2019. 

We had always wanted to go back to the trail of lights since our first date. However, since COVID it was very difficult to get the same experience as we had the first time. On December 17, 2023, we spent time at my uncle's ranch in Lexington, afterwards we recreated the date at the Trail of Lights. After we had passed the check in for the park, LD pulled me aside and asked me to marry him.
