How did we get here? If you would've asked us in middle school if we would ever end up together, we would've laughed in your face. Our paths crossed then and we remained friends all those years. But the true rekindling (sort of) happened when our mutual friends got married in 2023. We got paired us up as a couple to walk. down the aisle together, and do all of the wedding things together. We danced and drank all night. After too many drinks Tyler and Ashley were having some drunken conversations about taking me out on a date and all the things I require, and Tyler said he could handle those things. On August 13th Tyler slid in my DM's on instagram and asked when I was going to let him take me out on this date.....I ghosted him. Never answered. No reply. Nothing. So then me being the kind person I am reached out on his birthday and it took off from there. I texted him happy birthday and he responded with "Thanks Hiedi" purposely spelling my name wrong to strike up conversation. A true player. Honestly, the rest is history. There hasn't been a day since January 17th 2024 where we haven't spoken. We went on our first date on February 23rd and instantly I knew that was the person I was going to marry. Everything with Tyler is so easy. Never an awkward moment. But it almost wasn't the best first date ever because Tyler almost didn't show up. He told me later on that he was so nervous because he knew if he came and it went well he was going to be hooked. I mean can you blame him? But with a pep talk from his mom and a few deep breaths he showed up and took me to Applebees. Trust me the nerves didn't disappear after the first date it took two weeks just to get a hug out of this guy. But we took our time learning new things about each other. Telling stories about our pasts and our childhood. Neither of us were sure about a serious relationship due to our pasts, but I'm so glad we took that leap to learn how to love and what it takes to have a healthy relationship. Finally, on March 21st we made it official and I was finally off the market. Like I said I knew on the first date I was going to marry him, so I said why wait? After some conversation I convinced Tyler I would make him happy for the rest of his life, so he bought me a ring and OFFICALLY took me off the market on June 28, 2024. Starting a future with Tyler is the one thing in life that I have never questioned. I know he will always be by my side and in my corner through all of lifes ups and downs. I will always be there for him unless it's in the duck barn. He is truly my greatest blessing and I cannot wait to marry this guy.
