Heidy and Patrick first crossed paths at the University of Rhode Island in 2011. Since then, they have both earned their degrees—Patrick in Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and Heidy in Psychology and Sociology. Despite pursuing vastly different fields, they studied side by side, constantly motivating each other to achieve their goals and graduate together.

After graduation, they embarked on adventures, traveling to numerous countries and states, settling in together, and building their careers.

As a couple, Heidy and Patrick are natural planners. They've mapped out their relationship, careers, and travels with intention. They cherish quiet nights in, watching movies—Patrick loves action, while Heidy enjoys scary movies. Their shared love of exploration takes them to new places, and whether they're enjoying a meal at a restaurant or having a simple picnic at the park, they find joy in spending time together.

Living together, building a life centered on shared experiences and strengthening their bond. With a shared passion for travel, they explored new destinations, creating unforgettable memories along the way. As time passed, their families came together, forming a strong and cherished connection.

Throughout their relationship, they've remained each other's best friends, navigating both the highs and lows of life. Their love is still as fresh as ever, with butterflies in their stomachs every time they look at one another.

By 2023, Patrick took Heidy on many trips, from California to Jamaica. Little did she know, these trips were part of a much bigger plan. It wasn't until their trip to Las Vegas, when they stopped in Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon on July 3, 2023, that Patrick’s true intentions were revealed. Standing on a cliff, with the breathtaking canyon view before them, he asked Heidy to marry him. Overcome with emotion, she smiled through happy tears, completely surprised by the proposal.

And now, here they are, celebrating their wedding day! To honor the significance of their engagement date, July 3rd, 2023, the couple has decided to mark this milestone by tying the knot on the same date, two years later.
